Birdhouse lie le balcon au cadre de verdure environnant, les habitants des appartements aux oiseaux à l’extérieur. Faute d’un jardin en appartement, j’ai créé Birdhouse afin d’attirer les oiseaux sur le balcon et ainsi se démarquer de tous les appartements dont la construction proche de celle des LEGO consiste à aligner fenêtres, murs et balcons. Le balcon uniforme est transformé en poste d’affût pour ornithologues amateurs. Birdhouse, dont la forme et l'emplacement font références aux antennes dans le paysage urbain, est une invitation pour les oiseaux de la ville à nicher près de la fenêtre.

Birdhouse links the balcony to its green surroundings, the inhabitants of apartments to the birds outside. Lacking a garden in her LEGO like apartment building, I created this Birdhouse in order to attract birds to my balcony and thus stand out from all the piled up apartments with the same windows, same walls, same balconies. The uniform balcony is transformed into a lookout for bird-watchers. Birdhouse, with a form that refers to, but clearly deviates from the parabolic antennas in the cityscape, is an invitation to the city’s birds to nest close to one’s window.
